Qualification Details:

Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company Limited, Jabalpur invites applications for one post of Whole Time "Director (Technical)".


1. Name of the Post: Director (Technical)

2. No of Post: One

3. Minimum Qualifications: Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering from any recognized institute.

4. Salary: 

(i) The post of Director (Technical) is in the Pay Scale of Rs.160100- 214700 (Level-14 in MPPTCL 7th Pay Commission pay Matrix), with all applicable benefits as per the Company policy including DA and HRA.

(ii) For Private Sector candidate, the compensation will start from minimum proposed Pay Scale with all applicable benefits as per the policy of the Company.

(iii) For applicants from Central/State Public Sector Undertaking the selected officer will be treated as on deemed Deputation.

(iv) For applicants from MP Power Generation Co. Ltd., MP Madhya Kshetra Vjdyut Vitaran Co. Ltd., MP Power Management Co. Ltd., MP Paschim Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Co. Ltd., & MP Poorv Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Co. Ltd., the selected officer will be treated as on deemed Deputation with pay protection.

(v) For applicants from MP Power Transmission Co. Ltd., it will be up- gradation for the post of Director (Technical) with pay protection.

(vi) In the event of the candidate attaining the age of superannuation in the parent Company, his/her salary shall be adjusted as last pay drawn minus first pension, till completion of tenure as Director (Technical).

(vii) On completion of tenure as Director (Technical), if the candidate has not attained the age of superannuation, he/she shall return to parent Company in his original cadre and in the same scale of pay as he/she was drawing prior to selection as Director (Technical).

5. Qualifying Criteria: 

(i) Applicants from successor Companies of erstwhile MPSEB: - The applicant shall be a serving officer, working on the rank of Additional Chief Engineer and equivalent or above in any of the successor companies of erstwhile MPSEB, with minimum 5 years experience as regular Superintending Engineer or equivalent and above.

(ii) Applicants from State/CentraI Public Sector Undertaking:- Minimum 25 years experience and presently serving as Chief Engineer/Chief General Manager in the pay level (17) of GoMP/ equivalent GOI level (14) with experience in technical matters in Power Transmission.

(iii) Applicants from Private Sector: Total work experience of minimum 25 years in the field of technical activities related to Power Sector and out of that last ten years be in the field of power transmission having annual turnover not less than Rs. One Thousand Crores in those years.

Age Limit:

Maximum Age Limit at the time of making application: 60 years.

Selection Procedure:

1. The applications received shall be shortlisted based on their eligibility as per the mentioned Qualifications and experience.

2. The shortlisted candidates may on the discretion" of Selection Committee be requested to travel to Bhopal/Jabalpur for their personal interview. Travel expenses shall be reimbursed by the Company on the day of interview up to the maximum of Air Travel (economic class)/Train AC I by the shortest route.

3. Selection will be done by the Selection committee as per Articles of Association of company. The decision of the Selection committee will be final and binding.

4. Selected candidate shall be informed through mail/ SMS as well as through post and shall be given one week's time to accept or reject the position.
